Makena Henriksen is a journeyman blacksmith from the Pacific Northwest whose work is inspired by the forested shores of the Salish Sea. Their primary medium is steel, but they’ll experiment with any material they can get their hands on and have a particular fondness for foundry work.

While at Josephine, Mak looks forward to working in a larger scale than usual, and to familiarizing themselves with the behind-the-scenes action involved in running the sculpture park.

Jacintha Turner is a sculptor from Colorado whose work is inspired by all of the twists and turns that her life has gone down - from nursing, to marriage, to moving, to rekindling her love for art. In 2021, she graduated from Colorado Mesa University in sculpture with an emphasis in metal casting. While at the university, Jacintha attended two iron events whilst being a part of the sculpture guild and and several student shows.
