JSP Welcomes Ann Mullins to Board of Directors

Ann Mullins brings experience in the arts, landscape architecture, business management, and local government to JSP Board of Directors

Ann Mullins has practiced landscape architecture for over 40 years, working throughout the country on diverse projects. She has founded and managed two design firms, Civitas and wjmdesign, working on environmentally-focused projects and historical and cultural landscapes.

As a two-term Aspen City, CO Council Member, Ann advocated for adoption of environmentally beneficial policies, specifically on water related issues, city support of Health and Human Services agencies, and support for Aspen’s Historic Preservation program.

Ann continues her work in landscape architecture, concentrating on environmental issues and cultural & historic landscapes and continues to work with the city on special projects. Josephine Sculpture Park welcomed Ann Mullins to the Board of Directors in October of 2023.

Ann joins the JSP Board of Directors as a longtime supporter and visitor, whose family has shared several special memories at the Park over the years.  "I would love to be part of guiding this beautiful blending of landscape and art, which was so dear to my son, into the future," Ann shares. "Not just for the value of the art and the setting, but for the importance of the educational programs that have been developed and the awareness of our changing environment that has become part of JSP’s mission."

"Ann has been a supporter of JSP for many years...[and] she provided the very generous lead gift to launch this [2018-2022 Capital Campaign]," reflected JSP Founding Director, Melanie VanHouten at the Grow With Us Celebration in spring 2023. "She gave me the confidence to proceed with the [10-acre] purchase as a small grassroots nonprofit. I knew that if she believed in us this much, others would too, and we were right."
