We are thrilled and grateful to welcome Karen Lanier as JSP's Administrative Assistant as of April 2022. Karen is a teaching artist who explores the interconnections of nature and culture through photography and writing. She is a certified Professional Environmental Educator and a Kentucky Community Scholar. Karen worked as a seasonal park ranger in state and national parks across the U.S. before settling in Kentucky, where she most recently has managed projects for nonprofit organizations.

Karen shares, "Joining the JSP team is the perfect way to share what I've learned through working with other outstanding nonprofits and parks. I'm excited to support the sculpture park by strengthening systems and building our capacity to provide a fun and creative space for everyone to enjoy." She has taught youth photography classes since 2011, including mindful nature photography at JSP, and loves learning from the different perspectives that every artist and visitor brings.
